About a year ago I tried intermittent fasting for about .2 seconds ( a week) and HATED it. Yep, I said it. I HATED INTERMITTENT FASTING. I stopped eating at around 9PM and ate breakfast around 12:30-1PM. I was in the worst mood for the first half of my day. It might be good to add that I wake up at around 6AM usually and am prone to getting REALLY “hangry”. Needless to say, It wasn’t pleasant to be around me when I was fasting.
Recently I’ve been doing a lot of research on Intermittent fasting. When I first tried IF I knew absolutely nothing about it and honestly was so “hangry” during the time I tried it to recognize any of potential benefits. Even though my first experience wasn’t the greatest, the more and more I learn about IF the more of an advocate of it I become.
I have been Intermittent fasting since I started this Wo(MAN) to Machine Project; So, for about a week. This time I am doing it a little differently. I stop eating at 5:30-6 PM and eat breakfast at around 9AM. I am going to try and fast around 15 hours a day 6 days a week. I give myself a day on the weekends to eat whenever I want which makes things easier if I’m going out one night. Fasting this time around has been 10x better so far! Granted it’s only been a week I’ll be continuing this at least through the end of this Woman to Machine Project. Honestly, I see myself adding this in as a permanent part of my life!
During these next 12 weeks, I’ll be sharing with you guys my experience starting intermittent fasting.
