Happy New Year from the Third Eye Performance team! We are so excited for what this year has in store for us and our community!
“ New year, new me” has been the New Years phrase for lord knows how long. But this “new me” lasts for about a week . . . and that’s being generous. Reverting back to “old me” is pretty much inevitable.
Sierra, why are you being so negative? 2018 just started!
Well, my friend, I’m just being honest. BUT WAIT, I have a solution to this whole “old me” dilemma!
Embrace the “old me”. Fix the “old me”. Create a better life for the “old me”.
Think about this for a second. Last year taught you countless lessons and gave you plenty of life experiences you needed in order to become the person you’ve become at the end of it. Take a second and look at where you were January 1st of 2017 and where you are now. A lot has changed, hasn’t it? Why would you want to start 2018 with a “new me” after an entire year of lessons that strengthened the old me? That would be like working your way up to level 15 on a video game, turning it off, and starting at level 1 again. Why would you want to start all the way back at level 1 when you worked so hard to get to level 15? I believe the best asset we have is our life experiences and the lessons they teach us. I plan on transferring all of the life lessons from 2017 to 2018 and continue to build on the “old me”.
Instead of restarting every year and trying to become someone new, try focusing on strengthening the person you are. Let’s make 2018 the year of better, stronger, more successful “old me’s “. Happy New Year!
Blue skies and tailwinds,
Sierra (AKA: Little Miss Gains)
